This dock does exactly what it is advertised to do and it does so seamlessly. I have a work provided Dell laptop and a personal home desktop. I work from home two days a week and wanted a way to easily connect my laptop in a manner that that allows me to share my home desktop keyboard, mouse and monitors without the hassle of switching keyboards and mouse or plugging in my monitor and laptop power cord. I have a two monitor set-up, so this adds a challenge as well. After my standard, to the point of obsessive, research for what would work best, I wound up buying this docking station and an inexpensive two port USB KVM Switch (UGREEN). 

 

The Dell docking station automatically connected when I plugged it into my laptop, no issues. I now just connect the dock via the USB c connector to my laptop and press the KVM switch which magically moves peripherals from my desktop to my laptop giving me full access to my home dual monitors, keyboard and mouse. Very impressed!!
